Overall

• Became All-Father of Asgard

• Founding member of the Avengers

• Thwarted the many schemes of Loki to take the throne of Asgard

• Prevented numerous invasions led by the enemies of Asgard, including Ulik and the rock trolls, Ymir and the Frost Giants, countless Storm Giants, and many others

• Defeated Hela many times in her quests to claim more souls for her realm

Strength

Striking (Unarmed, Objective)

• Dazes Loki with a punch strong enough to shatter a small mountain

• KOs a man with the lightest tap to the head

• Sends Firelord flying into a set of steel trucks, destroying them

• Clashes with Hero, shaking the entire Celestial Mothership

• KOs Tyr with a punch which sends him crashing through a tree and boulder

• Clashes with Beta Ray Bill barehanded across Skartheim, their battle uprooting mountains. A fist clash creates a blast which levels the surrounding countryside and knocks both out

• Hits Hulk with a blow that narration says would fell a mountain

• Smashes Grog the God Crusher into the ground with his fists, sending him from the surface down through Hydrobase’s structure into the ocean

• Thor and Norvell physically clash, their battle shaking and threatening to destroy Asgard while Heimdall is nearly deafened by the sound

• Punches Grotesk through the ceiling of an underground cavern into a building, collapsing it

• Punches Hulk into Hela’s castle, demolishing it

Gripping

• Grips the soil hard enough to create a whip, knocking away Hercules 

• Bends down to seize the floor and hurl it up, knocking Doom away

• With the help of Hildegarde, lifts and crumples a foot-thick Mondurian steel door which would require a Rigellian battlecraft to even penetrate

• Shatters an enchanted stone casing created by Loki which Asgardian soldiers could not damage

• Crumples a multi-ton tank and compresses it into the shape of hammer as a Mjolnir substitute 

• Seals a chasm made by Mjolnir closed with his bare hands, imprisoning Loki under a million tons of Earth 

• Grips on to a sheer cliffside while falling, his strength allowing him to create his own handholds

• Breaks Vidar’s chains, which were forged to withstand the might of 10 giants

• Breaks Durok’s grip, forcing his arms together and noting that he needed Mjolnir to barely stand against him in the past

• Catches a tank round in his hands and crushes it

• Grips the Thorbuster’s core in its armour enough to cause pain and rips its arm off

Gouging

• Slashes a monster tree in half

• Gouges out the rock of an uru mountain

• Rips through a clone Spider-Man’s webbing

• Rips apart the shroud fired by an Eternal

• While exhausted, tears through the stomach tissue of Demogorge

• Rips apart a Celestial container which is made of the same material as their armour 

• Digs out of the underground caves below Avengers Mansion and bursts to the surface with his bare hands

• Tears off and lifts a large chunk of land holding all of Bilskirnir, Asgard’s greatest hall

Flexing

• Breaks free of steel cables binding him by flexing

• Flexes his muscles so hard they begin glowing with energy, letting Thor break out of the lava encasing him

• Easily breaks out of being coated with arctic ice

• Sends several rock trolls restraining him flying just by flexing his muscles 

• Is too strong for Giant Man to restrain 

• Restrained by Replicus’s cables, which no force in the universe can shatter, but exerts enough force that Replicus is forced to increase his power flow to match

• Easily breaks free of the Super Skrull’s grip

• She-Hulk is unable to restrain Thor for more than a few seconds

• With a burst of anger, Thor breaks Kurse’s grip and strikes him away before tossing him aside

• Breaks out of binding cables made out of adamantium alloy with a burst of rage

• Breaks free out of Plastanium sealing him solid, when not even the combined attacks of the Avengers could notably damage it

• Ordinary doctors are unable to stop Thor from walking forward

• Able to walk through Sue’s moving force-field even while the acceleration pins Reed Richards

• Blows away a pack of Storm Giants dogpiling him

• Bursts out of a pile of rubble made harder than diamond

• Trapped in an enclosed vortex by Tempest which squeezes the air from his lungs, but using all of his strength manages to burst out

• Young Thor breaks out of his restraints, which Gorr earlier said had been used to restrain mountain sized gods

Charging

• Rams through a massive granite block like paper

• Thor and Hercules push evenly against each other, crumpling a truck

• KOs Iron Man by slamming him through a wall into the ground

• Charges Ares through a ship mast, downing him

• Collides into Hulk with a flying charge with enough force to produce an ear-drum rupturing explosion

• Shoulder checks a Beyonder 

• As a Brood, slams Terrax into a planet

Legs

• Shatters a large boulder with a kick

• Totals a tank just by landing on it

• Sends Crypto-Man over his back using his legs

• Leaps a large distance in space between two spaceships

• Leaps from the ocean on to the deck of a huge ship

• Leaps extremely high from a platform to a quickly rising rocket ship

• Makes Hulk reel with a kick

• Kicks Ulik through a wall

• Takes out two Mountain Giants with a kick

• Kicks away Knull, drawing blood

• Leaps over a Nidavellir mountain, which are as big as moons

Lifting

• Whirls Ugarth around and tosses him into space and out of the solar system

• With only the slightest pressure from his finger, can topple the Leaning Tower of Pisa

• Wrenches loose a “million-ton” arch of rock

• Pushes a large slab off of himself with arms “far stronger than all the bulldozers of earth”

• Endures Kang hitting him with the Cobalt Force, which makes him feel as though the weight of half a planet bears down on him. Thor says he wasn’t even restrained and was just humoring Kang to learn his plans

• Holds a falling building by lifting it with his body

• Pushes an entire building out of the way in order to make space for him to fly

• Withstands the Gravitron “infinitely” increasing his weight, bearing the excruciating pain to stand up

• Tosses Namor many miles across the ocean

• Endures Umar constricting him with an energy field, crushing him with the weight of “a score of planets”

• Lifted a paw of a cat, which was in-truth the Midgard Serpent who girdles the Earth and holds the sea in place (recounted again here)

• Grapples the Midgard Serpent out of the ocean with a fishing line

• Hurls a chair so hard Asgard trembles just a little

• Alongside Vision, Wonder Man, and Iron Man, and with great strain, stops the fall of a giant landmass compressed by Graviton into a small sphere, which would otherwise cause a giant earthquake in Manhattan. Iron Man remarks it might weigh millions of tons before they subsequently hurl it into the ocean

• Hit by a graviton bomb which subjects him to gravity akin to a neutron star, before bursting out and shattering the multi-ton debris compressing on him

• Pushes against Godzilla trying to push down the Empire State Building, their forces stalemating until the building cracks

• Lifts and throws the Oversword at Arishem with enough force to pierce through, though Arishem lets it pierce him just to study it

• Tosses Loki in his sphere from the Bifrost all the way to the far mountains of ice which are his outpost

• Halts the full thrust of an adamantium rocket car of similar durability to Ultron, the thrust breaking his bones. Not even a bombardment of demolition charges is able to break Thor’s grip 

• Barely holds back a tidal wave bearing down on a rock wall

• Hooks the planet-sized Midgard Serpent off of Earth and into space, before wrapping it around Yggdrasil’s roots (note the serpent’s size varying is attributed to magic)

• Calling upon all his strength as his shoulders crack, lifts Jormugand’s (disguised as Fin Fang Foom) foot off the ground

• Manages to hold up a large collapsing building, though it heavily strains him

• Wins a weight-lifting competition against Hercules, Hulk, Wonder Man, Namor, She-Hulk, Colossus, Sasquatch, and Power Man

• Throws Hulk with one-hand through multiple mountain peaks, destroying them

• While suffering the pain of his near-death from before, pushes back the wheel of the Worldengine across minutes, reversing Ragnarok and fighting against Yggdrasil and the engine, ultimately prevailing and reversing the damage of the World Tree

• Throws Karnilla’s prison as hard as he can so it stays away from Asgardia forever

• Young Thor chucks a bomb a huge distance to the moon sized Godbomb

• Seals a country sized crack on a world with a push

• Holds up a huge castle and prevents it from being sucked into a black hole for a prolonged period of time

• Young Thor, Bor, and Odin all read the Asgardian book of kings, which contains infinite pages

• Alongside Bill, lifts Asgard and prevents it from touching the ground

• [Old King] Hurls Gorr’s entire planet into a black hole

• [Old King] Commands three suns and slams them into Gorr, who cleaves one in two

Grappling

• Clashes with Ulik, the battle collapsing the bridge they’re on

• Clashes with Hercules, evenly grappling him through a stone mound

• Grapples evenly with Hercules

• Grabs Hela before she can float away and slams her to the ground, with her remarking that she’s near defeat and that no warrior in Hel could best him 

• Hulk and Thor grapple, and stalemate for a whole hour with neither budging or tiring

• While depowered, chokes out a Frost Giant

• Arm-wrestles with Hercules, unleashing so much force it shatters the table before either gives 

• Breaks out of Firelord’s chokehold and slams him into the ground

• While weary, wrestles for a bit with Tiwaz

• Wrestles Hela to the ground and pummels her (all in her domain of Hel, which empowers her). Hela says Thor’s grip is like iron

• Able to grapple continuously with Kurse despite him being twice as strong as Thor

• In a hypothetical, generates enough pressure while armwrestling Hercules to shatter the plateau beneath them and knock the planet out of orbit

• Young Thor wrestles Volstagg naked, and manages to lift him up before slipping and being crushed by Volstagg

• Thor locks his hammer around Norvell’s as they clash to make it a contest of pure strength. Their grips clashing begins to shake Asgard and violently vibrates the Rainbow Bridge, blurring its colours while Asgard’s spires collapse

• Grapples with Bor and launches cars

• [Old King] Defeats Old Man Phoenix in arm wrestling

Striking (With Mjolnir, Objective)

Note that, as Thor feels the reflected force from every strike he makes with Mjolnir, his feats of striking with the hammer double as durability feats

• The first thing Thor ever does upon Blake tapping the hammer is smash open the side of a mountain

• Smashes hard enough to crush a pyramid into rubble and tear the golden gate to shreds

• Smashes through an ice wall made by Loki which was strong enough to deflect the hammer

• Smashes a mountain peak, blocking a nearby volcano

• In his youth, clashes hammers with Gullin with “planet-shattering blows” repeatedly, ultimately shattering Gullin’s larger hammer 

• Strikes Heimdall with enough force to cause a sonic boom

• Unleashes a strike so powerful against Pluto’s army that the letterers can’t do it justice

• Spins his hammer so fast that it begins to heat its own atoms, lighting it on fire, and striking an Indestructible like an atomic flare. Thor describes the blow as a “planet shaking atomic storm”

• Breaks out of Fafnir’s grip with a hammer strike, causing the mountains to quake

• Shatters the mountain Mangog stands on

• Crumbles a mountain, making it collapse on an incoming group of storm giants

• Clashes with a peak power Destroyer, their battle blowing out the wall of Odin’s palace and shaking Asgard to its foundations

• Shatters a mountain with a strike, letting the sea behind it rush through to engulf Surtur’s flames

• With a swing, launches an entire swarm of Storm Giants off his body

• Clashes with Starhawk, the force of their clash collapsing Korvac’s lab which is built to withstand “the mightiest of earthquakes”

• Launches a 1000 foot tall granite pillar across the city before using the hammer to guide the pillar back into its hole

• Young Thor shatters the crust of a mountainside with a strike, sending him into a chasm

• Smashes an incoming meteor and carves a path through a meteor storm by throwing the hammer

• Digs through the bottom of a volcano to an underground cavern

• Repeatedly smashes Kang’s force field with enough force to threaten to collapse the walls of Limbo

• Strikes an Utgard giant hard enough to shake the earth, which is revealed to have shattered a mountain

• Creates a large chasm by striking the ground, big enough to swallow a flood

• Beats down on a weary Midgard Serpent, subduing it with a blow narration describes as shaking mountains and the starry heavens, and saying that if the fight took place in Asgard, its gleaming towers would be toppled into dust

• Shatters Graviton’s barrier, which was previously stated to need a nuke to pierce

• The backlash of wind from a swing can take out a normal person

• Strikes a Celestial to no effect, with narration noting the same blow has toppled cities

• Smashes the Rainbow Bridge itself with a strike 

• Smashes a hole through Manhattan’s bedrock to surface from underwater

• Pulversies and vaporises a set of weapons with a strike while also splitting apart the bedrock into a small chasm

• Clashes the hammer with Tyr’s mace, their force great enough to topple mountains and creates a shockwave which sends nearby objects flying

• Strikes Korvac with a combined blow strong enough to shatter a planet

• Pains Fafnir by striking his hand, before hitting him with all the power of Mjolnir, the force of the blow being felt as far as Pennsylvania 

• Shakes an entire mountaintop cavern by striking it from the outside

• Unleashes his mightiest blows on the side of a mountain range eclipsing the Andes, which the heroes wedged in the middle hear as tapping

• Strikes Vidar, who parries his hammer with a staff, the clash shaking Asgard to its rafters

• Hits a copy Man-Beast with a strike that would shatter a mountain, breaking his guard

• Clashes with Hephaestus, shaking Olympus with a rage rivalling Zeus’s according to Hermes

• The clash between Thor and the Einherjar against Hela’s forces shakes the foundations of the underworld and sends tremors to the furthest corners of the realm, even as far as Gjallerbru

• While wearing his belt of strength, shatters the plateau Arishem is standing on to rubble with a single strike

• Unleashes “mountain-shattering force” on Ulik with a strike, startling him and breaking his grip

• Shatters a mountain

• Defeats Bill with a hammer strike that destroys the very small planetoid he’s on

• Smashes Silver Surfer into a planetoid, creating an explosion visible along its curvature and defeating him

• Strikes a Celestial container with enough force to shatter a small planet

• Cleaves a mountain in two

• Clashes Mjolnir with Thunderstrike’s Executioner axe, shattering every window in the vicinity, each clash shaking every building foundation in a 5 block radius. Seismographs spike hundreds of miles away and their blows collapse the ground beneath them

• Causes the FF’s Stealth-Hawk to shake with a strike, with Thing commenting that it should resist anything short of a nuclear attack. Maximus calls Thor a threat far worse than nuclear. Next issue says it risks destroying the entire ship. 

• Using Tarene’s hammer, clashes with the Destroyer wielding Mjolnir. The raw energy causes foundations to crumble and seismologists all over the world to record an Earthquake in Manhattan with only those of a higher plane like Asgard able to actually observe the clash. They clash for minutes with the Destroyer eventually buckling

• Rampages across creation for 40 days straight, shattering the root of Yggdrasil

• Alongside Bill, halts a colossal tidal wave with a strike

• Thor clashes with a copy of himself in Nidavellir, the shockwave creating an earthquake in Asgard and Midgard

• Smashes a large comet

• Smashes apart MODOK’s forcefield which can withstand the force of a nuclear bomb

• Shatters chunks of the moon launched by Gorr

• Clashes with Gorr, their blows shattering the moon they’re fighting on and producing shockwaves which crack worlds around them, creating tremors on Gorr’s planet light-years away and causing Yggdrasil to bleed

• Using two Mjolnirs, one from his older self, strikes at the Godbomb, the roaring of the hammers shaking the stars

• Smashes apart Seth’s Black Pyramid thrown by Surtur

• The All-Power leaking from Yggdrasil empowers Thor to shatter the fake city in Blake’s dimension

• Repeatedly strikes the de-powered Mjolnir, echoing across the galaxy and shaking the mountains of Nidavellir until the hammer completely shatters

• Smashes through a mountain launched by Starbrand

• Clashes Mjolnir with a younger version of itself, producing a massive explosion visible across the curvature of the planet which KOs Thor, Odin, and every other Avenger present

Striking (With Mjolnir, Scaling)

• With a hammer throw and a series of strikes, both with hammer and fist, Thor is able to knock the Destroyer back and ultimately knock it down

• Downs Loki with a single hammer strike, later breaks his arm

• Shatters Loki’s magic spells

• With a single strike, decimates Pluto’s troops and downs Pluto himself, forcing Pluto to admit Thor is stronger than he seems

• While at half-power, crumbles the axe Odin used to kill Ymir with a strike

• Downs Mangog with a hammer strike, something Mangog says only Odin has done before

• Downs Mephisto with a swing. Mepshito admits that with Thor as he is, Mephisto can’t slay him by his hand 

• Strikes Galactus in the head

• Clashes with the Midgard Serpent, harming it with strikes

• While wearing his belt of strength, strikes Exitar, the shockwave of his blow instantly shattering nearby mountaintops and shaking the entire planet. Exitar doesn’t feel it, but it does create a small hole in his battle-armour

Throwing and recalling Mjolnir (Objective)

• Hurls his hammer at a mountain with a force equal to half a million tons of TNT, triggering an avalanche. The hammer hits hard enough to break Loki’s uru chains

• Swings his hammer hard and fast enough to cut through a whole forest of trees, controlling its trajectory to break all of them

• Launches Sigurd into space with a swing towards an asteroid

• Throws Mjolnir hard enough to send the giant Fanfir off his feet

Mangog’s power is immense but Thor thinks the “billion billion beings” part is an exaggeration. The full measure of Odin’s power was necessary to stop Surtur from destroying the Nine Realms. Not even Odin dares to engage the Destroyer in direct combat and Thor questions if it could destroy Galactus, also questioning if Odin could beat a peak Galactus. Scaling

Jane Foster

During the era Thor Odinson was unworthy, Thor’s classic love interest Jane Foster stepped up to the plate, wielding Mjolnir to become the all-new, all-different Mighty Thor. Jane Foster Thor is a pretty clear-cut featswoman, having a bunch of super impressive feats for both direct showings and scaling. While she did wield Mjolnir better than Odinson due to her strong connection with the God Tempest, the unworthy Odinson fought on par with her near the beginning of her career, and would go on to fight evenly alongside her against threats such as the Phoenix and Malekith. Thor Odinson is also on-par with multiple characters who have matched her evenly, such as Annihilus, Hercules, and the amped She-Hulk. 

After Jane sacrificed her life to slay Mangog in the Sun and handed the title of Thor back to Odinson, she would eventually become a new incarnation of the identity of Valkyrie, wielding the All-Weapon transformed out of the Ultimate Universe’s Mjolnir. Jane as Valkyrie also has many impressive feats. While on-paper you’d think she shouldn’t be any stronger than she was as Thor, her actual feats against characters like Odin could indicate her scaling is much higher, so you could argue about if Thor scales to Valkyrie with his traditional powerset or if he needs the All-Power to scale to her.

She’s weak to AC current for some reason.

Strength

• Rips through an adamantium door that Mjolnir was struggling to break through

• Downs Ratatoskr with a throw

• Incapacitates Loki with a throw

• Lifts the entire solid gold Roxxon island from crashing into New York, it previously having been described as impacting like the asteroid that killed the dinosaurs. It causes her visible strain before she lifts the island into the sun

• Lifts Mangog and throws him from Asgardia to the sun before he instantly leaps back and crushes her

• Throws an apple into Saturn’s rings

• Throws Mangog from Asgardia to the Sun

• Alongside Hercules and Roberto, helps stop the World Engine and halt the planet’s rotation

• Beats down and defeats an entire squad of Berserkers, notable since a single Berserker was a match for young Thor

• Launches Odin from Asgardia into one of Saturn’s moons and draws blood from him with a punch. She endures Odin blasting her with a moon-sized explosion and repeatedly punching her 200 million miles to ping pong her between Saturn’s moons before blasting her into Jupiter. History books describe this fight as Jane having punched Odin through 3 planets

• While Odin was weakened and past his prime during this fight, Jane as Valkyrie later fights the Odin of 1 Million BC who is in his prime, and is still able to draw blood and fight evenly with him even while noting he’s stronger than when she fought him previously

• Throws Mjolnir at a meteor moving with enough force to destroy the Western Hemisphere, stealing a great deal of its momentum but not enough to stop it

• Draws blood from one of the Shi’ar gods, who can create and launch supernovas

• Wields both Mjolnir and Ultimate Mjolnir, smashing them together to blow Volstagg from Ginnungap to Svartalfheim. The storm is visible from Heven

Eric Masterson

When Thor Odinson was banished from Asgard for the unforgivable sin of killing Loki, the human architect Eric Masterson took his place, becoming Thor and wielding Mjolnir for over a year of publishing in the early 90s. The running theme with Eric’s tenure as Thor was that despite having Thor Odinson’s strength and power, he was still an ordinary guy underneath it all who didn’t think he was up to the task, and would have to come into his own as a hero. When Loki battled Eric, he claimed Eric had only a tenth of Thor’s strength, but Eric dismissed his comments as attempts to shake his confidence. Eric’s belief would essentially be proven true at the end of his tenure, when he and the original Thor fought over Sif’s heart. During this fight they were basically even, Odinson seeming to have a skill edge and slight strength edge while Eric kept up with his mortal chutzpah, the fight ending with both keeled over and coming to their senses. In any case, it proves Thor more than matches Eric’s strength. The same applies to Thunderstrike, Eric’s next superhero identity who had basically all the same abilities as when he was Thor.

Strength

• Clashes with fellow Mjolnir-wielder Dargo Ktor, with narration describing it as the most irresistible force in the universe since the big bang. It unleashes a wave of mystical energy erupting simultaneously across all planes of reality, shattering windows for miles, creating a crater, and providing the Radical Time Stabilizer enough energy to operate at peak efficiency. The enchanted shockwave resonates the length of the entire cosmos to Beta Ray Bill’s location. The Radical Time Stabilizer is used to collapse all infinite timelines into a single entity with Zarrko as ruler

• Throws Mjolnir at Nebula alongside attacks from Drax, Hulk, Firelord, and Doom, with narration stating their combined might could easily rend asunder a small planet, to no avail against Nebula

• Downs Thanos with a throw and beats him to the ground with a strike

• Quasar says he’d be nothing but a bloody smear if Mjolnir hit him

• Beats down Gladiator with a series of hammer strikes, nearly killing him and knocking him unconscious

• Thunderstrike kills Seth’s physical body and forces his physical presence out of this realm, though Seth still survives in the long term due to being Death

Speed

• Reacts to and absorbs a lightning-absorbed Absorbing Man into Mjolnir

• Dodges an attack from Bloodaxe by yanking themselves upward

• Whirls Mjolnir at a speed which defies description

• Deflects heavy artillery fired by Moon Knight’s plane with a rapid series of strikes

It would be remiss of me to not also note that Eric is also the source of several of the more infamous Thor Slowdinson feats.

• In an Avengers training session, Eric’s reaction time scores lower than Crystal

• Unable to react to stun drones in Cap’s training Exercise. Cap says both Eric and the original Thor struggled with it as an exercise that sharpens reaction time, which Cap says Eric painfully obviously needs help in

• Spider-Man repeatedly evades and attacks Eric, with Eric commenting on how fast Spidey is and how despite being far more powerful, he can’t lay a hand on him. The blows start to wear Eric down 

Durability

• Endures a full power blast from Stellaris

• Endures Loki channeling energy through him and beating him down for 60 seconds 

• Heimdall physically beats down Eric using the Odin Power, with Eric managing to keep standing through the pain

• Tanks bullets fired by Moon Knight’s plane

Thor Corps

While only Jane Foster and Eric Masterson have actively replaced Thor Odinson as the primary wielders of Mjolnir for extended periods, many other characters have held the hammer or similar weapons, united by their shared valour. When multiple hammer wielders assemble together, the team is known as the Thor Corps. These characters include, among others: Dargo Ktor, the Thor of a future timeline who wields Mjolnir, Beta Ray Bill, Thor’s battle-brother who wields the similarly enchanted hammer Stormbreaker, Red Norvell, a prideful cameraman who wields the copy of Mjolnir called Crusher, and the War Thor, who is Thor’s friend Volstagg wielding the Mjolnir of the Ultimate Universe. Many of these characters have fought on-par with each other and fight evenly together when teaming up, the OG Thor included, so he certainly compares.

Beta Ray Bill

• Bill draws blood from Doctor Strange and defeats Silver Surfer

• Bill dazes Kurse with a throw

• Bill and Hercules’s battle with two gods devastates the surface of a moon

• The Godkiller Skrulls launch Bill to Asgard so fast Heimdall was caught off guard

• Alongside fellow storm god Sugaar, destroys Hadad’s spear

Red Norvell

• Norvell draws blood from an ice giant with a punch

• Norvell reacts to and blocks a light beam fired by Balder with his hammer

• Dazes Seth with a throw and blocks a blast from Seth by whirling his hammer

Dargo Ktor

• As mentioned previously, clashed with Eric Masterson to produce a force compared to the Big Bang which provided energy to merge infinite timelines

• Dargo whirls his hammer at speeds defying description to shatter the barriers between dimensional planes and throws it through the vortex, sensing that the path he threw it through will lead it back to the OG Thor

• Dargo deflects a lightning blast from Mjolnir fired by Eric Masterson

• Hurts Varley with a series of hammer blasts, Varley wielding the power of Korvac

War Thor

• Ultimate Thor hurls his hammer so hard it breaches dimensions to Old Asgard and lands there, creating a huge explosion

• War Thor produces a storm bigger than moons

• War Thor’s rain quenches and shakes Muspelheim

• War Thor clashes with Sindr who claims she boiled oceans and burned stars from the sky

• War Thor begins to rip apart the entirety of Muspelheim with his storm

• War Thor threatens to destroy Svartalfheim with thunder

• War Thor’s hammer is charged with “all the power of a dead universe”

• Enchantress harms War Thor with a blast before he deflects her magic

• Mangog praises War Thor’s durability and says he really might have the power of an entire murdered universe before crushing Ultimate Mjolnir to pieces

• War Thor harms Mangog and knocks out his tooth before shocking him with lightning big enough to cover all of old Asgard

• A thrown Mjolnir is deflected by War Thor’s hammer, knocking it from Ginnungap to Vanaheim

Thor’s granddaughters

• Old King Thor’s three granddaughters blow apart Galactus’s body right after he had devoured the energies of the Earth

Odin

Odin is a well-known character in battleboarding in his own right and has many very high-scale feats. In classic stories by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, Odin is usually depicted as essentially omnipotent, far above Thor and capable of stepping in to solve whatever problem the plot needs. How strong Odin is depicted relative to Thor and the other Asgardians has varied pretty wildly ever since. In-universe, Odin’s power fluctuates based on factors like belief in him, proximity to Asgard, age, and overuse of the All-Power, making it difficult to tell in some instances how strong he’s intended to be.

Thor, even without the All-Power, has instances of matching threats usually considered comparable to Odin, such as Surtur, the Destroyer, Gorr, Mephisto, Perrikus, and Seth, alongside having fought comparable entities such as Galactus, the Phoenix, and Zeus. Characters he’s a match for such as Jane Foster and Angela have also defeated Odin-level opponents like Bor. Since he also has many clear instances of being far below Odin when the latter is primed up, how much credence you’d want to give those arguments is up to you. The Godblast is also fairly consistently on the level of Odin and his peers. Of course, when Thor has the All-Power, he gains all of Odin’s power, and on-paper should be capable of replicating anything Odin can do, which is supported by him fighting enemies comparable to Odin like Surtur and Galactus.

General

• In the backstory relayed in Norse myth, slew Ymir to create the oceans and formed the land of Midgard from his body, taking his skull and forming the vault of the heavens while shaping Muspelheim’s sparks into the stars in the sky. He and his brothers also create the trolls and form the human race out of trees

• Recounting of Odin, Vali, and Vi slaying Ymir who gave birth to the universe, creating the world from his corpse while Odin breathed life into maggots to make them dwarves

• Odin channels and routes the explosive energy Surtur held, which was going to destroy all realities, through a portal into Asgard-space to dissipate it, described as “negating” the energies

• Surtur’s flames would have consumed all reality, but the power was pushed into a realm between realms by Odin

• Battles the galaxy-sized God Tempest for days, his spear piercing it and the battle cracking the Rainbow Bridge. The onslaught of the Odin-Force caused the storm to eventually weaken, allowing Odin to strike it and seal it in raw uru through his magic

• Only Odin can rend the Destroyer asunder

• Thor says Galactus’s power rivals Odin, and Odin says Galactus’s power rivals his own

• Masterson says that the Odin-power could devastate the entire universe in Annihilus’s hands

• Even in his own realm, Seth is afraid of going one-on-one with Odin

• Odin says there was a time he could crumble planets with a wave of his hand or snuff out stars with his breath

• Odin was the most powerful god to ever tread the Ten Realms and performed feats even the Watchers went mad witnessing

• Thor states Odin’s power exceeds all Asgardians combined and is only matched by other pantheon patriarchs like Zeus, but questions if he could beat a peak Galactus

Strength

• Overpowers Uthana-Thoth, notable since Uthana-Thoth maintains the all-space with his power, and that universe is destroyed when he leaves

• Clashes with Zeus in the Infinite Embassy, shaking the world

• Headbutts Galactus, smashing open both of their helmets and sending both crashing into Earth. Odin seemingly enters the Odinsleep to recover but actually transfers his spirit to the Destroyer, his body recovering when he exits it

• Slams Donald Blake into the ground, drawing blood

Energy

• Clashes an energy blast with Seth, which causes a shockwave which ripples across every plane of reality. Narration says distant planets quiver in the clash and it causes earthquakes on Asgard as it’s described as being forces powerful enough to extinguish stars themselves. The clash is so great it’s even visible on Earth, and Strange describes it as tearing at the very fabric of the multiverse and imperilling untold galaxies. Silver Surfer describes the forces as powerful enough to rock their entire continuum

• Blasts Seth, narration noting long dead galaxies are shattered and distant dying suns are reignited from the blast. Their overall fight lasts hours

• Strikes planets with his blasts

• Channels energy through the sceptre of power in a contest against Forsung, the energy shaking the universe and merging into a fireball with Odin and Forsung in the middle, as they crash through planets and create new suns across the galaxy, with their battle raging beyond all time and space.

• Thor later states even Odin almost fell to Forsung and that the entire cosmos was their battleground

• Endures a beatdown from Seth. Narration says that while it appears to be a simple slugfest, it is waged simultaneously on every plane of existence

• Surtur, in his first appearance, knows he cannot harm Odin, so instead creates the Moon from the Earth’s core

• Endures an energy blast from Seth, their clash threatening galaxies and tearing at the very fabric of the multiverse

Weaknesses

As a highly well-rounded warrior, Thor doesn’t really have any specific weaknesses of note. The weaknesses he does have are pretty conventional. Despite being able to hold his breath for extended periods, he does still rely on air, and so has been frequently choked out by knocking the air out of his lungs and preventing him from breathing. Similarly, while his Asgardian eyes are capable of staring directly at a supernova without issue, physical attacks and debris can disrupt his eyesight and blind him, leaving him open for a counter-attack. He’s also susceptible to being knocked off-balance by striking the ground beneath him. Since he relies on Mjolnir to fly and for many of his abilities, without the hammer, he becomes much less insurmountable. Sufficient blows have been shown to be able to disarm him, requiring him to recall Mjolnir and leaving him briefly vulnerable.

With the All-Power, Thor becomes even stronger, and loses weaknesses like being unable to fly without Mjolnir and possibly needing to breathe. As covered in its own section, the All-Power isn’t inexhaustible, and does require All-Sleep should Thor expend too much of his energy, though he has improved with his usage of it by the time of his current death in the comics. While Thor and the All-Power do have some instances indicating a pretty high threshold of regeneration, it’s more consistent that sufficient physical damage will kill them, as seen with Thor’s death at the end of The Immortal Thor.

• Has his hammer arm pinned by a javelin, preventing it from moving

• Ultima’s force-rays stop the hammer and hurl it from Thor’s hands

• Endures a car being thrown at him by Hyperion which causes him to drop his hammer, noting it takes an especially powerful blow to do that

• Endures a hit from Hulk sending him to the ground and disarming him

• Separated from his hammer by one of Seth’s minions charging him from behind

• Pinned to a wall by a bulldozer and crushed, the pressure causing him to unconsciously release his hammer
